WELCOME!

Me and my best friend, Bryn.
I hope that you enjoy your wander through my pages. This is a site under construction at the moment, so feel free to come back and see if more has been added.
Art and Photography are my hobbies. I have always drawn and painted. My dear old Mum used to say that I was born with a pencil in my hand. More use than a silver spoon!
My first camera was an old box Brownie. It used to come on school trips with me and took many an out of focus image, which reminded me of the various trips. The next camera I owned was an Olympus OM10. It sits on the shelf now - a nice ornament!
A few years ago I entered the digital world with an HP camera, with just 3mp! I was delighted with it and took many, many images with it. It was great to think that I didn't have to pay for developing any more and if an image wasn't good enough, I could just delete it. Maybe it was just laziness- but it worked for me! As cameras progressed, I owned a Casio and a Fuji - until I felt that they didn't offer me enough for my photography.
So I moved on to a DSLR...the first one being a Nikon D70. It changed the way I thought about photography in that I began to notice how I composed a shot. No more pointing and shooting - I had to start to think! I grew to love my D70 and it came most places with me! It made it all the more special that my old Mum bought it for me. Maybe she regretted it later, as the lens was always being pointed at her! Now she isn't with us any more, I have lots of lovely images that will remind me of many times spent with her.
I now use a Nikon D80 and a D3200. As a personal preference the D80 works better for me than the newer D3200; finding that the latter is not as easy to use, as the settings are not as straight forward as the D80. It lacks the little window at the top of the camera which lets you see the settings straight away, seeming to me to be more like the Canon.
